The WNBA championship round gets underway tonight in San Antonio, when the Silver Stars host the Detroit Shock. The Silver Stars swept the two games they played against the Shock during the regular season, and own the top home-court advantage in the WNBA, with an 18-3 mark. That performance breaks down to six wins every seven games, and makes it very appealing to take this team on the moneyline at just over two to one odds. The Shock has been a sub-.500 team on the road all season. Their most recent road run has been 4-7. The Shock has yet to solve the Silver Stars defense as they hit on just 49-137 FGA during the regular season, good for a paltry 35.8% and just 8-35 from beyond the arc for a dismal 22.9%. That defense will be turned up a notch in the championship round, and I look for the Silver Stars to come away with the win at home.
