Connecticut at Washington

Connecticut went on a 17-5 run on Sunday to almost cover the number before losing 95-86. The Sun can use that as a springboard for Game 2 as it tries to even the series. The Sun came off a three-game sweep of Los Angeles and is still playing the best it has all season and it shot 48.5 percent overall and hit 9-of-23 from three-point range in Game 1. Courtney Williams led the Sun with 26 points and Alyssa Thomas added 20 points and six rebounds, but Connecticut couldn't overcome Washington's 54.0 percent shooting. Elena Delle Donne led the Mystics with 22 points and 10 rebounds and Ariel Atkins added 21 points. Washington has not covered its last four games when following an ATS win. These teams have similar defensive stats of allowing opponents nearly 44 percent shooting. Connecticut also won two of three regular season games against the Mystics.
