Last place San Antonio is terrible on the road (winless), but plays tough at home with a 7-8 record. They are home from a two-game trip, as well as playing 6 of the last 10 on the road. San Antonio faces a Connecticut squad that is 6-9 on the road and a long way from home. Connecticut doesn't do much of anything well, ranked #7 in the WNBA in points, #11 in rebounds and #9 in points allowed. Alex Bentley has missed the last six games with an ankle injury and fellow starter Alyssa Thomas has missed the last nine with a shoulder injury. Connecticut has lost eight of the last nine games and 17 of the last 23. The Connecticut Sun is on a 2-7 spread run, including 1-6 ATS on the road. Meanwhile San Antonio is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games when playing on three or more days of rest and has extra incentive tonight. Retiring Sophia Young-Malcolm will play her final home games in a back-to-back set that begins Friday night against the short-handed Connecticut Sun, who are also eliminated from playoff contention. This is the first home game for Young-Malcolm since she announced last Wednesday that this will be her final campaign. She spent her entire 10-year career with the Silver Stars, and will play her last home game Saturday against Phoenix. The four-time all-WNBA selection is the franchise's leader in scoring with 4,266 points and one of 24 players in league history with over 4,000 points. They also have a chance to avenge the most lopsided defeat in team history that happened last month at Connecticut, an 82-51 loss. The Sun is 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings, so grab the home team to win the game straight-up. Play San Antonio on the moneyline.
