Connecticut is off a losing campaign and opens the new season on the road. It's a young team all around with a new coach in Curt Miller, so there is a lot to work on. Connecticut was not a good shooting team last year at 42.2% from the floor, ninth in the WNBA, plus dead last from the free throw line (74%). The Sun is on a 4-9 spread run on the road, plus 4-12 ATS against the Eastern Conference. They head to a powerhouse Chicago Sky offense, one that led the league in scoring (82.9 points per game) behind WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne (23.4 ppg). Three other players averaged in double figures in scoring for Chicago in guards Cappie Pondexter, Courtney Vandersloot and Allie Quigley. The defense is upgraded with 6-7 rookie Imani Boyette, making this a great spot for the veteran home team with all this depth and star power. Play Chicago.
