Chicago at Washington

After playing four in a row against strong teams (Phoenix, Seattle, L.A. twice), Chicago steps down in competition against a struggling Washington team on a 1-4 SU/ATS run. Chicago is a good three-point shooting team (34%), sixth in the league, and WNBA road underdogs are 70-34 ATS after three or more straight losses. They are a big dog to a Washington squad that is playing no defense, allowing 95, 85, 88, 88, 91 and 97 points the last six contests. Washington is 34-58 ATS at home working on three or more days of rest, plus 13-27 ATS at home after allowing 80+ points in two straight games. With Washington on a 1-6 spread run at home, back the big dog and play Chicago. Also take a little flyer on the Sky to pull off the big upset here and win outright. The Mystics are just .500 at home and have lost four of their last five games. The Mystics have pretty much always under-performed, owning a losing record vs. losing teams (22 games under .500 vs. losing opponents). I like Chicago's chances here at the upset. Take them with the spread and straight-up.
