Chicago at Atlanta

The Atlanta Dream had an easy path to the Eastern Conference regular season championship. The league was extremely top heavy this season, with just three of the 12 teams finishing above .500. At 19-15, Atlanta was the only one from the East. They basically had it on cruise control without a challenge, so I expect them to turn it up a notch here in the playoffs. Atlanta played the stronger Western Conference to an 8-4 overall record, and owns wins vs. both Minnesota and Phoenix. Their four losses included a pair of overtime games, so this team is poised to play at a higher level than we have seen down the stretch. What might be most telling with this Chicago team is the fact that they went 1-4 on the road vs. a winning team with the average margin in the four losses was a staggering -17 points per game.
