Most that see this line come out are chomping at the bit to get on Atlanta -2 at Minnesota. After all, the Dream are leading the East at 14-5 and own the second best record in the league, while Minnesota sits at 6-11, but hold on. The Lynx may be 6-11 but the West is so laden with poor teams they are just a half game away from making the playoffs at the midway mark. They are also a different team with Simeone Augustus back on the court. The Lynx have won four of their last six games and the two losses show a reason. They shot 29% in one game as well as 0-12 from deep, and in the other loss Augustus was 6-20. When she has had her "average" numbers or better they have won them all. Meanwhile, down in Atlanta the Dream opened 6-0 outscoring opponents by 83 points. They have played their last six games at home and have not been on the road since June 19th. This is a very thin team with four solid players and nothing else. The Dream is just 4-9 ATS in their last 13 and Minnesota has a huge incentive here playing at home, with revenge and a renewed playoff incentive with their star back. I like Minnesota here.
