Liverpool FC opened the English Premier League season with a 4-3 win at home over Leeds United. The defense didn't play well and they beat a Leeds United squad that has moved up after playing last year in the lower Championship League. Things get much tougher here as Liverpool FC heads out on the road for the first time in the new season. They are on a 1-2-1 run away from home surrendering six goals and face a talented Chelsea squad that was fourth in the league standings last season with a 20-12-6 record. Chelsea had the third-best offense (69 goals in 38 games) and they add a big-money signing with 24-year old Forward Timo Werner, who was with RB Leipzig. Werner is one of the most talented frontmen in the world. Chelsea is clearly loading up in a push to be the top team in the league.
