Winnipeg at Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Penguins begin the second half of the season at home, skating against the upstart Winnipeg Jets who are vastly improved from last year. Pittsburgh was severely leaking oil prior to the break, and no team benefitted more from the time off than this club, which was riding downhill at 4-12 in their last 16 games prior to the break. No team wanted the break to come less than Winnipeg who was on a roll, winning five straight games, and in resounding fashion by outscoring their opponents 22-8 in the process. The Jets, however, have struggled against winning teams where they are 4-9 in their last 13 against them, while Pittsburgh has dominated the Western Conference at 40-19 in their last 59, and Winnipeg has suffered badly here at just 4-22 in their last 26 trips to the Steel City.
