Winnipeg is not as bad as their last place standings might have you think. The offense is in the middle of the pack and they are pretty much a .500 team, both home and away. They gave New Jersey a tough game last night, rallying for 2 third period goals before losing in OT, 3-2. The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for Winnipeg. They won the previous two games as a dog of +130 each time. In fact, they've won three of five, including as a +170 dog, scoring 9 goals at Philly. They are also a strong bounce back team: The Jets are 4-1 in their last five after scoring 2 goals or fewer in their previous game. I can't trust this New York Rangers team as a favorite - a club that is No. 18 in goals scored and one of the worst power plays (No. 25) in the league. The Rangers are 2-5 in their last seven vs. the Eastern Conference, 2-6 in their last eight games as a favorite and 2-6 in their last eight games when playing without rest. The underdog is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these teams and it's clear which team has dominated: The Jets are 8-3 in the last 11 meetings, including a perfect 5-0 in the last five meetings in New York. Play the Winnipeg Jets.
