The big problem has become a stagnant offense, one that scored 25 times in their 7-1 start, but just 12 times in their last seven. Winnipeg started slow, but has shown to be an improving team that is also becoming confident. The proof is on the road where they are 4-1 in their last five. The Winnipeg defense has been a force, allowing just 8 goals in their last six games, and for a Montreal team struggling to produce goals this is a tough spot.
