Not that Montreal needed extra motivation in this series, but the Canadiens got it when Mark Scheifele charged into Jake Evans in Game 1, causing a concussion for Evans and a four-game suspension for Scheifele. The Canadiens defeated the Jets 1-0 on Friday when Carey Price stopped 30 shots, and Tyler Toffoli scored a short-handed goal early in the second period. Now Montreal gets to go home leading 2-0, and it has won five in a row while allowing a total of only nine goals in that span.
