Winnipeg comes off a winning season where they finished .500 on the road. New players have been brought in after letting go of center Pierre-Luc Dubois and right winger Blake Wheeler. The two were fourth and fifth in points garnered, and the team finished 21st in goals per game and 23rd on the power play. Goalie Connor Hellebuyck is back after a rough first-round playoff series allowing 17 goals in the last four games (all losses). Meanwhile, Calgary had a winning record last season both home and away, and brought back 15 returnees. They also added some youth and speed to the roster. Calgary is on a 16-7-0 run at home against Winnipeg, so back home ice in the opener. Take Calgary as a Max Play.
