Washington at Winnipeg

The Washington Capitals have struggled since the bell rang to open the NHL season. A quick look at what has happened shows one of the reasons. The Caps have scored 4 goals or more just four times through 19 games, but their opponents have done so seven times. They are facing a hot Winnipeg team that has elevated their season mark to 10-9-1 on the strength of five wins in their last six appearances on the ice. What makes that stand out is that four of those wins have come on the road, so the Jets are off and running right now. Things certainly haven't been so easy for Washington when taking to the road where they are a woeful 2-9 in their last 11. Winnipeg has not been a place for them to feel comfortable either, as they are 1-5 in their last six trips here. Take the Jets.
