Washington at Vegas

The incredible run by the expansion Vegas Golden Knights continues into the Stanley Cup Final, but Washington also is coming into the series at the top of its game after shutting out Tampa Bay the last two games of the Eastern Conference Final. Braden Holtby stopped 29 shots in Game 7 against the Lightning, and he now has a scoreless streak of nearly 160 minutes. After waiting 20 years to return to the Cup Final, this Capitals team, including the great Alex Ovechkin, seemingly has learned what it takes to win and now has the experience of coming back from a 3-2 deficit under extreme pressure.  Ovechkin scored 62 seconds into the game on Wednesday to immediately give the edge to the Caps on the road. Washington is 15-3 its last 18 road games and 6-1 its last seven games after allowing two or fewer goals its previous game.
