Washington at Philadelphia

It has been an adventure for the Washington Capitals, playing on the road for most of the season. But indications from their recent play are showing winds of change. The Caps are 2-2 on this road trip, and one of the losses was by a single goal. They won at Boston, which is never easy, as well as Toronto to stand in at 4-2 in their last six on the road, so the confidence is renewed. The Flyers after a five-game winning streak have been pedestrian over their last six games where they have broken even at 3-3, and have just one of the six showing a win by more than a single goal. They have managed to score just 14 goals in their last seven games, so covering a puckline here as a favorite certainly will be no easy task. Despite the poor showing on the offensive end, the defense has been holding their end of the ice quite well, and the combination has led the Flyers to 10 straight UNDERs. Couple those numbers with the fact that the Capitals have played to a 27-9-2 mark to the UNDER in their last 38 on two day’s rest, and the UNDER is shining. The Capitals have won six straight vs. an opponent that scored 2 or fewer in their last game, while the Flyers have managed one win in their last five when playing for the fourth time in six nights. Play Washington on the puckline and the UNDER.
