Wow what a difference a year makes. Does anyone remember the Rangers being picked to be last in the conference last year by some experts? Well guess what Sports Illustrated has the Rangers No. 1 in the division and No. 2 in the conference! The Rangers have made big changes in the offseason and improved their roster. Adding a group of veterans in Brendan Shanahan, Matt Cullen, Aaron Ward and Adam Hall. They also included a great rookie in Nigel Dawes. Oh ya and the teams leading scorer, Jagr is back and the solid net minder Lundqvist is back in net. Washington Capitals have one good player, Ovechkin. Their entire strategy revolves around letting Ovechkin skate. The Capitals finished 5th in the conference last year. They also have Olie the goalie returning in the net but do not have the depth or veteran leadership that the Rangers do. Take the Rangers for 1 star tonight.
