Washington appeared to have a letdown two nights after clinching a playoff berth, getting shut out 3-0 by the Penguins on Saturday. The Rangers have lost two in a row and didn't score in the two games against the Islanders. Ilya Samsonov is 13-4-1 and is probable tonight for the Caps, and Saturday's loss was his first in five starts. Washington has won 23 of its past 33 games overall and the Capitals are 48-23 their past 71 games after losing by at least three goals. New York is 8-21 its past 29 games as an underdog and Washington still is battling for first place in the East Division. Take the Capitals on the puck line.
