Washington snapped a three-game skid with a 4-0 win over the New York Rangers on Saturday night as Charlie Lindgren had 31 saves and the Capitals scored three times in the second period. Washington has scored eight goals its past two games and the Capitals are hoping this is the end of an offensive drought they have been suffering throughout the season. Chicago won its second straight 3-1 over St. Louis, but the Blackhawks have scored only 10 goals their past six games and they are in last place in the Central Division with only nine wins in 26 games. Chicago is 5-21 its past 26 Sunday games and 5-14 overall against Metropolitan Division teams. Arvid Soderblom will be in net for the Blackhawks with a 2-8-1 record and 3.62 GAA.
