The Carolina Hurricanes have drawn the short straw, opening the season with six of their first seven on the road. Their games have seen some big numbers in the scoring column, all except their lone game played at home which ended 2-1 in a shootout. Going back to the end of last year, that has been the norm. Their last nine on the road, five of which were this year, have seen 65 goals scored or over seven a contest. Their home numbers have been much different at 26 total goals scored in the last six or just over four a game. This total gets bumped because of the road numbers, when the reality is they play much differently at home. The Caps have been a decidedly UNDER team this year with six of their first eight failing to reach the total and all three on the road UNDER. These teams have combined for four of the last five going UNDER in their meetings in Carolina. I like the UNDER here.
