Washington at Carolina

The Washington Capitals have gone winless in three straight games and that simply doesn't happen very often. When it dos they are a solid bet to win the next one as the last six times they have been in this situation, they have responded like the good team they are by going 5-1. Carolina had it going, but has really struggled of late behind the net and the defensive end, where they have allowed 5, 7 and 8 goals in three of their last five. The high scoring Capitals are the wrong team to be facing when struggling this way and the Hurricane are going bad at 1-4 in their last five. The Caps own the Southeast where they are 47-15 in their last 62, while the Hurricane have dropped their last five as a dog. Washington gets the call.
