Washington is playing the best it has all season winning eight of its past nine games after sweeping the Flyers. Meanwhile, Buffalo has completely fallen apart, losing 10 in a row and scoring more than two goals just twice in that span. Goalie Carter Hutton is probable tonight and he has a ghastly 1-8-1 record and 3.15 goals-against average while his likely counterpart, Ilya Samsonov, is 5-0-1 for the Capitals, who have won four of the past five meetings. Also, Washington has won seven of its past eight road games and they are 20-7 after scoring at least five goals their previous game.
