Arizona snapped its nine-game skid by defeating Detroit 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday, but look for the Coyotes to sink into another divot as they host a fiery Capitals squad tonight. Only Chicago is keeping the Coyotes out of last place in the Central Division, and they average just 2.66 goals per game, fifth-worst in the NHL. Arizona is 14-29 its past 43 games following a win and 19-41 its past 60 at home where there is not much of an advantage. The Capitals have won eight of their past nine road contests and four-straight overall when playing with one day of rest. Darcy Kuemper is expected in net and he owns a 2.55 goals-against average and .917 save percentage with four shutouts this season. Karel Vejmelka is likely for the Coyotes and he has allowed 29 goals his last seven appearances. Take the Capitals.
