Vegas at Washington

Washington cleaned up its act defensively in its 3-2 victory in Game 2 to even the series. Braden Holtby put on an tremendous performance in goal, including a game-saving stick save of Alex Tuch's shot from the top of the crease late in the third period. Alex Ovechkin had a goal and played an all-around outstanding game while the Capitals held the Golden Knights' best line to just two assists. It was the first win for Washington in four meetings with Vegas, including the regular season, and that will mean a lot mentally as the Capitals go back home for Games 3 and 4. Vegas is just 1-4 its last five games with two days rest, and even though the Caps have seemingly played better on the road during these playoffs, they still have won 94 of their last 135 home games. Washington is 17-8 its last 25 with two days rest and it has won 20 of its last 28 home games versus teams with winning road records.  Look for Washington to take the lead in the series. Take the Capitals in Game 3.
