Vegas clinched a postseason spot and then took it easy the rest of the season, losing seven of its last eight games. Vegas rested players, including goalie Marc-Andre Fleury for several games and now the Golden Knights need to turn it on as it enters the playoffs. They'll have no choice than to do it quickly as the Knights open on the road at San Jose, who lost to Vegas in last year's postseason. The Knights have beaten the Sharks in nine of 14 times the last two seasons and three of five of San Jose's wins came in overtime. Fleury has a 2.51 goals-against average and .913 save percentage with plenty of playoff experience with the Penguins and Golden Knights. Vegas is 44-21 its last 65 games versus Pacific Division teams and the Sharks have lost nine of their last 12 overall and six of their last eight home games.
