Vegas has a new coach in Bruce Cassidy and some big changes from last season especially in net where it will be Logan Thompson and Adin Hill filling in for Robin Lehner, who is likely out for the season with a hip injury. The Golden Knights had a major departure with Max Pacioretty leaving for Carolina and they are still reeling from an injury-filled 2021-22 season that cost coach Pete DeBoer his job. The Knights once again will have to find a way to get enough offensively to overcome just above-average goaltending, although Thompson held his own toward the end of last season. Los Angeles made the playoffs last season and adding Kevin Fiala to join the other young forwards that were key to the team's success last year. Los Angeles goalie Jonathan Quick played in 46 regular season games in 2021-22 and had a 2.59 goals-against average. Vegas lost 11 of its final 16 road games. Take the Kings.
