Vancouver at San Jose

The Vancouver Canucks imploded last season after a reasonably good start and never recovered. They have vindicated themselves in the early going, but have a big challenge tonight in playing against San Jose in the Shark Tank. San Jose has long held a significant home ice advantage because they have good teams, and the arena and home fans make it very difficult on the visitor. The Sharks lost two in a row here which doesn't happen often, and are in the midst of a short lived slump. They have their act together now, having won three of their last four. The Canucks have been awful when facing winning teams where they have logged a not so impressive 16-37 mark in their last 53, and this is no place to get that turned around. The Sharks are the King's of rest, as when they take to the ice on three or more days of rest they have been nearly unbeatable at 23-5 in their last 28. The Canucks have been overmatched in this series for quite some time at a woeful 1-10 in the last 11 meetings. All San Jose in this one.
