Vancouver at Edmonton

The Edmonton Oilers were a mess last season, and did little to improve upon what they are putting on the ice this season. They have been blanked in the win column through four games, at 0-3-1 and it certainly looks like another ugly season is taking shape early in 2014. Vancouver started strong a year ago, and then just lost their way. They return a much better and focused team that seeks to remedy their long skid to closeout last season. The Canucks are 2-0 to start the season, and seem to have a fresh attitude and are out to show what happened over the second half of last season was just a fluke. This is just the Canucks' third game, and they have been a potent team when playing on three or more days of rest where they are 27-9 in their last 36. Edmonton is a woeful 24-79 in their last 103 vs. the Pacific, and are just 9-19 in their last 28 vs. Vancouver, and will to have to wait to get their first win of the season.
