Vancouver at Edmonton

Edmonton has another new coach in Dave Tippett, who previously has been head coach with the Dallas Stars and Arizona Coyotes. He will try to get the Oilers moving in the right direction after they missed the playoffs for the 12th time in 13 years. Fortunately, the Oilers feature Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, the second and fourth leading scorers in the league last season, but they still need to improve offensively overall. Mikko Koskinen will be in goal after appearing in 55 games with a 2.93 goals-against average in 2018-19. Vancouver finished two points better than Edmonton and the Canucks haven't made the playoffs in five years. The Canucks finished 25th with 2.67 goals per game and 17th in goals allowed. Jacob Markstrom had a 2.77 GAA and .912 save percentage in 60 games for Vancouver, which has lost 49 of its last 71 road games. Also, the Canucks are 40-92 their last 132 games versus Pacific Division teams and they have lost five of the last six meetings at Edmonton. Take the Oilers.
