The Colorado Avalanche has been a respectable .500 team at home, and they remain the only NHL team to not to lose a game in OT where they are 3-0, as well as 9-2 in games decided by a shootout. They are 6-0 at home in contests decided beyond regulation, so if they hang in the game, they win it. Vancouver has done a nice job on the road, but as the season grows late, they have not been the same team on the road. Over the last month they are just 1-5 on the road and this is some big chalk for a team struggling to find the win column on the highway. What compounds the problem for them is that this is their third game in four nights - a situation where they are just 16-35 over their last 51. I'll back the Avalanche here.
