Vancouver at Calgary

Vancouver has a talented team that has a little extra incentive in this one after falling to surprising Calgary in six games in their first-round playoff series last season. Vancouver added Brandon Sutter in the offseason along with young Brent Sutter (21 goals), both from the Pittsburgh Penguins. Rugged left-wing Brandon Prust (Montreal) adds muscle up front and began his career with Calgary, so even he has added incentive against this old team. Calgary didn't last long in the playoffs after knocking off Vancouver. Their flaws are still apparent: a defense that ranked #16 in goals allowed, #15 in save percentage.
