Kind of a strange early-season matchup in Calgary tonight. The game will feature starting goaltender Jacob Markstrom and defenseman Chris Tanev, but also forward Josh Leivo, who all joined Calgary as free agents in the offseason from Vancouver. The Flames blew a 3-1 lead in their opener and lost it in overtime. They have had too many bad periods and too few good ones as the play has been choppy early, which may be due to a lot of new faces.
