Toronto has plenty of speed and talent on offense, second in the NHL in goals scored, eighth on the power play. The defense is playing better, allowing two or fewer goals in five of the last six contests. Toronto comes off a 4-2 victory over Washington on Saturday. William Nylander (six goals, 15 points) missed the game but practiced Monday and is expected back in the lineup. They face a young Edmonton team that has improved its defense, #13 in goals allowed, and second in penalty killing. The Oilers have lost two in a row, losing both as chalk, 3-2 and 2-1. Both went UNDER the total, part of a 13-6-1 run UNDER. Edmonton is also on a 22-8-2 run UNDER the total, 17-5 UNDER after allowing two or fewer goals. Toronto defeated Edmonton 3-2 in overtime last month and the Oilers are 4-9 when playing on one day of rest, plus 36-74 after scoring two goals or less.
