The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Carolina Hurricanes have a combined total of three wins on the season, so each in their own right will be sniffing a win here and that should add some intensity to the defensive side. The Hurricanes have not found an answer on the offensive end of the ice all season. Apart from their one shinning moment when they tallied seven vs. Florida, the Hurricanes have produced just 21 goals in their other 13 games - a woeful 1.61 goals per contest. They have been held to two or less in 11 of their 14 games played and in each of their last five. The Maple Leafs can't claim much more as they have posted two or fewer in eight of their last 11, so this one doesn't appear to have much legs to be a high-scoring affair as the six total posted here would indicate. I'm backing this one to go UNDER the total.
