Toronto at Carolina

Carolina has had three days off since winning at Anaheim 4-1 on Friday and it ended a rough six-game stretch, which included five road games. The Hurricanes get forward Micheal Ferland back after he missed four games with a concussion and he owns a team-leading 11 goals this season. Goalie Scott Darling was recalled from their AHL team, but Peter Mrazek is expected in goal tonight. Mrazek has allowed only two goals his last two starts against Los Angeles and Anaheim and he has a 2.41 goals-against average. Toronto has lost two in a row and the Maple Leafs lost the first meeting with Carolina on Nov. 21. The Hurricanes have gone UNDER six of their last seven games and they are 42-20-3 UNDER their last 65 games with at least three days rest dating to previous seasons.
