While the Buffalo Sabres are cruising along with a 7-1-1 mark to start the season, it certainly hasn't been a joy ride for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they come in with almost the opposite mark of 1-7-2. The good news with the Maple Leafs is that in the last two games where they own a 9-7 scoring advantage over their opponents. The nine goals in two games represents more than they scored in their previous six, so there are definitely signs that this team is getting its act together. The Sabres have surprising not lost on the road, but are 3-1-1 at home and are returning from a three-game road trip. This one appears to be an easy win, so focus could be a problem as the Leafs are playing much better now. The road team has won eight of the last 10 meetings here, so I'm going with Toronto in this one.
