It's a little late for Toronto to make a playoff run, but they are finally playing up to their talent, winning two in a row. The Maple Leafs played the role of spoilers again with a 3-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lighting on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, Toronto's call-ups continued to click. Defenseman T.J. Brennan, with an assist, recorded his first point with the Maple Leafs, and forward Sam Carrick had his first NHL fight, a spirited first-period tilt with J.T. Brown. Goalie James Reimer helped Toronto to a 4-3 overtime victory against Ottawa on Saturday, so there is enthusiasm and purpose. They will make it three in a row against a Buffalo team ranked #30 in goals scored, goals against, on the power play and in penalty killing! Yes, this Sabres team is historically bad at 16-39 in their last 55 home games. The Maple Leafs are 4-1 in the last five meetings, so jump on the visitors and play Toronto.
