The Washington Capitals beat up on the New York Rangers winning the series 4 games to 1. This is a dangerous team that went through a prolonged slump when they went 10-21 over a 31 game stretch. They scored just 72 goals in the 31 games, but the before and after have been eye opening. Outside the long slump that went 40-14, this is a club that appears to be back on track once again. Tampa came back from the dead vs. Pittsburgh down 3-1, but winning the last three may be emotionally out of sorts for this one. The Lightning are just 17-41 in their last 58 posted as a dog of +151 to +200. The Caps are riding a 22-6 run, which includes 7-1 in their last eight vs. a winning team. Washington takes this one.
