Tampa Bay at Vancouver

The Vancouver Canucks lost their way a season ago after a good start, the team just seemed to go into a funk and they could never get out. This season they have started on the fast track at 3-0, as Tampa Bay at 2-1 comes to play tonight. I'm not really sold on the Canucks' fast start as it has come at the expense of three games vs. teams that are a combined 3-11 to start the season, and those teams have been outscored by 15 goals. Tampa Bay is 2-1-1 to start the season against a much more difficult schedule, and outside of a lopsided 7-1 win vs. Montreal, their games have all been played on the defensive end. The Lightning's four opponents have all failed to top the 2-goal mark in regulation in any of their games. While Vancouver has had some offensive success in their 3-0 start, that has all come at the expense of a schedule of teams that are combining to allow over 4 goals per contest, and this will be their first time all season going against a team that can play a little defense, so I can see them getting flustered as things won't come as easy. The Canucks have been plagued when following a poor offensive performance as they are 8-23 in their last 31 after scoring 2 goals or fewer in their previous game, and playing on no rest has been a disaster as they are 1-7 in their last eight on zero rest. The Lightning are well rested, and are 4-1 in the last five meetings, and just one of Tampa Bays' last six games played on three or more days of rest have gotten OVER the total.
