Tampa bay has opened the seadon with a win at home and will take to the road for the first time this season. The Islanders look to redeem their opening season home loss. The Islanders only had ten shots on goal through the first two periods, but finally seemed to be getting things together in the third where they attempted nine, so they have some positive energy coming into this one. The Islanders have certainly had success against this Tampa club as they have scored the win in six of the last nine meetings, while this has been a graveyard for Tampa Bay who is just 2-8 here in their last ten.
