The Kings have made a concerted effort to rectify their complacency on home ice. They were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round last year losing two of three at home, after finishing the season 1-3 at home. This year they are off to a 4-0 start at home. In their four games, they have allowed a grand total of 6 goals or 1.5 per contest. Dan Ellis is hot behind the net for the Lightning, with his best three-game stretch of the season, allowing just 6 past the net at 2 per game. Tampa Bay is 4-1 to the UNDER off an OT game and no rest, and 7-2 to the UNDER in their last nine vs. the West. The Kings are decidedly UNDER in the favorite role at 9-3-1 in their last 13, and the last four played in LA in this series have stayed UNDER the total. The total falls short. The UNDER is the play.
