The Coyotes wish the start of their NHL season was like hand grenades, when close counts. The problem is close means one for the loss column and the Coyotes have surrendered three in overtime already. Overall, they just aren't playing well enough to win. They will have their hands full with a Tampa Bay team that has gotten off fast at 6-2-1, including a stellar performance on the road at 3-1. Lightning striking at the offensive end aside from a no-show at Florida where they were shutout, they are scoring four goals a game in their other eight. The Coyotes have lost their way on home ice at 1-6 in their last seven and Tampa Bay has had their number winning seven of the last nine, including four of the last five in Phoenix. I'll back Tampa Bay in this one.
