St. Louis at Dallas

The Dallas Stars have opened the 2010 NHL season with three straight wins, and have looked sharp on the young season. St. Louis won their first two before dropping a hard fought 4-3 decision to Nashville. Jaroslav Halak has been steady and tough behind the net for the Blues allowing just 6 goals in the three games thus far. The Blues defense has played well allowing opponents just an average of 22 shots per game. The Blues have been their best against the NHL Pacific. Going back to the close of last season they have won their last six. The Stars have not cashed-in after a good defensive performance, having now gone 19-53 in their last 72 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game, and have been equally unimpressive after posting a win, logging a 13-38 mark in their last 51. Both of these are playing well, getting good play behind the net, but St. Louis is in a good spot here. St. Louis wins this game and stays UNDER the total.
