The St. Louis Blues were a force in front of the net a year ago, and at home. They really struggled early on, but have slowly begun to recapture some that magic from a year ago. They have also been playing great hockey on the road, where they have put up six wins in eight tries. Colorado is below the .500 mark, and their recent issues are trying to stop opponents' attacks. The Avalanche have allowed 3 goals or more in each of their last six games, and 10 of their last 11 games. That puts them in a tough spot trying to get wins, especially against a St. Louis team that is capable on any given night to shutdown an opponent's attack. The Blues are getting it done vs. losing teams at 39-17 in their last 56, and are now 6-0 when playing for the fourth time in six nights. The Avalanche are just 20-43 in their last 63 vs. a winning team. St. Louis gets the call.
