St. Louis is frustrated after losing the last game when a disallowed goal went against them. The call was the correct one, however, and the Blues lost home ice advantage and now have to head out on the road. The St. Louis offense is not a strength, tallying three goals in the series, and four the last three games. The Blues rank #15 in goals scored, losing the last game 3-2. And even though they won Game 1, 1-0, they were outshot 35-18. The Blues are 3-9 in their last 12 Conference Quarterfinals games. Chicago is home and healthy, with star power and great balance. They are #6 in goals scored, #2 on the power play, and #10 in goals allowed. Corey Crawford had a strong Game 2 in net, and Duncan Keith also scored for Chicago in his first game back from a six-game suspension. Besides Keith, the Blackhawks gave forward Richard Panik his first start with defenseman Erik Gustafsson and forward Brandon Mashinter sitting as outstanding coach Joel Quennville is not afraid to make changes. The Blackhawks are 121-57 in their last 178 home games. Chicago goalie Corey Crawford has a 1.95 goals-against average in 39 career playoff games at home. And when these rivals clash, the home team is 29-13 with the Blues 9-23 at the United Center. Play Chicago in Game 3.
