You need defense to contend on the road and St. Louis is one of the best, coming into this one at #12 in goals allowed, and third in penalty killing. The Blues are on a four-game skid, but there's no need to panic with this talented, well coached and disciplined group under Ken Hitchcock. St. Louis has a winning record both home and away, and the Blues are 18-6 against the Pacific Division, as well as 16-6 versus the Western Conference. The Blues have outshot opponents 150-127 during the four-game skid, which started with them scoring once in each of the first two. Anaheim continues to play .500 hockey because of a stagnant offense, last in the NHL in goals scored with just 1.8 per contest. They've lost two of the last three games as a favorite each time, including the last game, a 4-0 loss at home to Toronto as -160 chalk. They lost All-Star goaltender John Gibson early in the third with a lower-body injury following a collision. With the Ducks 3-7 against the Central Division, grab the dog and play St. Louis.
