Seattle defeated the Islanders in a 4-3 shootout victory on Nov. 16 in the first meeting this season. Both teams are struggling recently, but New York is just 2-7 its past nine games as a favorite and the Islanders have lost eight of their past nine against Western Conference foes. Ilya Sorokin is confirmed for New York and he is 16-12-9 with a 3.10 goals-against average. Seattle has had trouble scoring lately, but New York hasn't been much better as it has lost seven of 10 while scoring more than three goals just once in that span and averaging 2.60 goals per game.
