Anaheim added some veterans in the offseason to help with the rebuild and center Trevor Zegras is the star after recording 29 points in 33 games after the All-Star break. He finished second in Calder Trophy voting and will look to take that next step. John Gibson (check status) is still the No. 1 goalie for the Ducks after enduring several seasons when his team didn't score much, and backup Anthony Stolarz is coming off a solid year. Seattle had the league's third-worst record in its inaugural season and had the NHL's worst team save percentage, which was a little surprising as Philipp Grubauer was in net most of the time. The Kraken did acquire some offensive help during in the offseason, but they were 6-20 their past 26 games vs. the Pacific Division and Anaheim won two of the three meetings last season. Seattle lost 21 of their last 28 road games overall and the Ducks get the edge here in their home opener. Take Anaheim.
