The Vancouver Canucks held serve in game one with a 3-2 home win and they return to the ice tonight in game two of their Western Conference Final vs. San Jose. While five goals were scored in game one, we have seen a lot of goals being scored in the NHL playoffs this year. Tampa scored three in one period vs. Boston who came back and hung a five spot on them in the second period last night. Game one in this series saw just five goals, but the net was under seige all night with a combined 67 shots attempted. The Canucks are an impressive 80-36 in their last 116 home games and that includes 41-19 after a win. The Sharks seem to find the clock striking midnight when they reach the Conference Finals as they have dropped their last seven. I expect the seige on net to continue tonight as the Sharks are 12-3-1 to the OVER in their last 16 on the road and five of the last seven between these clubs have eclipsed the total. I am on Vancouver and OVER in this one.
