San Jose at Pittsburgh

Premium Pick

This is a long road trip for a dispirited San Jose squad that just lost at home, down 3-1 in the series and facing elimination. They've lost six of their last eight road contests. San Jose mustered just 24 shots and the Sharks are 18-7-2 UNDER the total when their opponent allows two or fewer goals in their previous game. The Penguins are third in the NHL in goals scored, sixth in goals allowed and fifth in penalty killing. Sidney Crosby, Phil Kessel, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang and Nick Bonino lead a deep, fast and talented Pittsburgh squad that has been the better team, tough to keep up with. And rookie goalie Matt Murray has been immense at 14-5 with a 2.09 goals-against average and .925 save percentage in the playoffs. The Penguins have not played from behind for a span of 435:46 since a Game 4 loss to Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference final. Even in their only loss, 3-2 at San Jose in Game 3, they outshot the Sharks 42-26 and led 2-1 in the third. The Penguins are 23-7 against a team with a winning record and on a 35-17 run at home. Pittsburgh is also on a 12-3-2 run UNDER the total in Stanley Cup Finals games, and the home team is 15-5 when these teams clash. Take Pittsburgh to win the Cup and also play the UNDER.
